Award winning vocalist Aysha made her radio debut in August 2006 with her original song “Honey” from her self-released album “Love Is A Rock”. Hailing from Santa Barbara, California, Aysha sang most of her life, but it wasn’t until her early 20’s when she decided to sing professionally. While singing in various bands and opening for WAR and Zapp with Roger, a producer approached Aysha to work with him in Los Angeles to pursue a solo career. Shortly after that meeting, Aysha packed up and moved to Los Angeles, California where she currently resides.
After several years navigating the ups and downs of the music industry and learning the business side, Aysha independently released her debut CD “Love Is A Rock” in 2006. In 2009 Aysha was nominated for Jazz Artist of the Year with the LA Music Awards and again in 2010 along with Jazz Album of the Year which she was the recipient, for her sophomore CD “Stay With Me – The EP”, also independently released. This highly anticipated EP garnered several stelar reviews from around the globe and 4 singles out of the 5 song EP hit the UK Soul Charts, topping at #2.
In 2013 after returning from performing at the Dubai International Jazz Festival, Aysha started her radio show Smooth Saturdays with Aysha with Urban Soul Radio and also signed with Innervision Records, releasing her 3rd CD “Take Me Higher” under the Innervision label. “Take Me Higher” was a Grammy Considered album, and the title track reached #3 on the Groove Jazz Charts and ranked #6 in the top 100 songs for all of 2015 in Groove Jazz.
In 2016, Aysha was the recipient of the Producers Choice Honors Award for Outstanding Live Jazz Performer held at the Hard Rock Café in Hollywood, CA. and most recently was inducted into the Hall of Fame for the class of 2024 at the Enthrone Entertainment Honors Ceremony and Awards in Hollywood, CA at Catalina Jazz Club on June 15,2025.
As a SAG-AFTRA recording artist, Aysha has also been focusing on her acting career as well as her music, working on several TV shows, films and commercials.
Musically, Aysha is back in the studio, recording her next project and has released her first single “So Real” on July 18, 2025 and followed her release up with her first official music video a week later on July 25, 2025. Her single “So Real” has already hit the charts in the UK along with the US and continuing to move up!
Along with working on her new album, Aysha was booked as one of the lead singers in an upcoming theatrical production due to start performances in October 2025.
